Exciting news! We’ve just finalised our event brochure artwork for the upcoming Plumbers’ Ball, the 109th Annual Banquet, hosted at the Britannia Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool. Who else is joining in the celebration?

SeaKing has a proud tradition of attending the event yearly; 2023 is no exception. We’re honoured to support the Marine Guild, a registered charity committed to assisting individuals within the marine and marine-related professions in the Liverpool and Manchester regions.

Since its founding in the 1890s, the guild has been raising funds to provide financial assistance to those facing serious illness or financial hardship and offering grants to support young people embarking on their maritime training journey. We love to contribute to a meaningful cause and look forward to connecting with fellow industry connections next week!

Our dedicated team at SeaKing Group has diligently gone through the rigorous process set out by JOSCAR, showcasing our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional services. With a strong portfolio of design and build projects across various sectors, we are renowned for our expertise within the defence industry.

We are incredibly proud of the completed projects that have supported esteemed organisations like Cammell Laird and the RFA Northern Cluster. Notable projects include the AO Wave and Tide Class Vessels, RFA Fort Victoria, Bay Leaf and Rover Class Tankers, RFA Diligence, Fort George, and the Type 45 Power Improvement Project (PIP).

Last week, our team attended Seaworks 2023. As always, the event was an opportunity to connect with our existing network and forge new relationships within the maritime industry.

We were thrilled to catch up with familiar faces, to share updates on the latest advancements in marine electrical engineering. Additionally, meeting new contacts allowed us to expand our network and explore potential collaborations that will drive innovation and growth.
Seaworks Expo provides an inspiring platform for knowledge exchange, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and industry trends. We came away with valuable insights that will further enhance our services and deliver even greater value to our clients.

John joined SeaKing 23 years ago when we first established the business. Official title ‘Service Manager’ -however, John’s technical knowledge went further than that role- he has been involved in many large-scale projects over the years.

Today is a sad day for our team to wave John off; however, we are entirely grateful for his contributions over the years to the business.

Join us in wishing John well, a wonderful, fulfilled retirement, and a well-earnt rest!

It’s been a privilege to be part of the corporate contributors in restoring TS Queen Mary to return her to active service in Britain’s coastal waters.

Our CEO Martin Sealeaf had the pleasure of attending the 90th Anniversary Celebrations earlier last month.

5.02.23 – HRH The Princess Royal Launches 90th Anniversary Celebrations
On 9th February, we were honoured to welcome our Royal Patron, Her Royal Highness Princess Royal, to a special reception at Voco Grand Central Glasgow Hotel. The reception was the first in a series of events being held to celebrate TS Queen Mary’s 90th anniversary year.
Over 100 corporate sponsors and donors had the opportunity to be presented to Her Royal Hig hness, before our Chairman Iain Sim delivered a short address. There then followed a moving video tribute by our patron Sam Neill OBE to his friend (and our former patron) the late Robbie Coltrane OBE.
Finally, Her Royal Highness presented four special Charity awards:
Merit Awards – presented to Barbara Craig, Barbara Winton and Arran Budge.
The Chairman’s Award – presented to Richard Orr.
We are now delighted to be able to share some photographs of our guests and Her Royal Highness from the reception, with further footage to follow.
