SeaKing Group Celebrates 25 Years of Engineering Excellence

SeaKing Group recently marked a major milestone as more than 150 employees, customers, suppliers and industry partners gathered at One Fine Day in Liverpool to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary.

Founded in 2001 by Martin Sealeaf, Dave Gillam, Eric King and Chris Dahill, SeaKing has grown from a specialist marine electrical engineering company into a respected engineering group supporting the marine, defence, industrial and offshore sectors.

The evening provided an opportunity to reflect on the company’s journey over the last 25 years, recognise the people who have contributed to its success and celebrate the relationships built along the way.

Today, SeaKing employs more than 100 people and continues to support projects throughout the UK and internationally, whilst investing in apprenticeships, training and the development of future engineering talent.

Addressing guests on the evening, Managing Director Blaise Cockton reflected on the company’s journey and the people behind its success.

“Celebrating 25 years is a huge milestone for SeaKing and a fantastic opportunity to recognise the people who have helped shape the business along the way.

From our founders’ vision in 2001 to the talented team we have today, the company’s success has always been built on the commitment, expertise and dedication of our people. We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved over the past 25 years and grateful to our customers, partners and suppliers who have supported us throughout that journey. As we look ahead, we remain committed to investing in our people, embracing new opportunities and continuing to deliver engineering excellence across every project we undertake.”

Commenting on the milestone, Group Managing Director Martin Sealeaf said:

“When we founded SeaKing in 2001, we had a clear vision to build a business founded on technical excellence, trust and a commitment to delivering for our customers. What we could not have predicted was just how far that journey would take us.

Over the past 25 years, we have had the privilege of working alongside outstanding employees, customers and partners who have all played a part in our success. Seeing the business grow from a small team on Merseyside into an international engineering group supporting projects around the world is something I am incredibly proud of.

Whilst the company has evolved significantly over the years, the values that shaped SeaKing from day one remain the same. Our people have always been our greatest strength, and it is thanks to their dedication, expertise and professionalism that we are celebrating this milestone today.”
